Campaign Townhall Meeting

3 June 2021, 10:00am - 11:15am

Townhall Meeting (1)

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our recent Campaign Townhall meetings. Over five meetings, 470 of us got together (virtually) and we took our first exploratory steps, but we want more! In order to fully meet your needs this campaign needs to know;

  • What can this campaign do to make your job easier?
  • How do you rate morale and pride within the sector?
  • What do you think the public thinks of your work?

You can tell us all this in 10 minutes via our sector survey here.

Notice these questions are directed at you as an individual. You do not need to consult your boss or check the organisation’s strategic plan. We want your personal perspective, your expert view as someone who works or volunteers in the sector.

All answers will be strictly anonymous and confidential.

Need Reminding?

Below is a brief overview of the campaign IN a 30-second read, plus a recording of the Campaign Townhall presentation. You might like to re-watch or check points of interest. Do please share it with colleagues who could not attend.

Brief Overview

Last year, a group of sector representatives came together to lay the foundations for a brand-new campaign, which would showcase the incredible value and impact of the charity and community sector to the public.

The Steering Group is comprised of Boardmatch, Charities Institute Ireland, Disability Federation of Ireland, Dóchas, The Wheel, and Volunteer Ireland.

The campaign Steering Group has secured funding from The Community Foundation for Ireland via its RTÉ does Comic Relief Fund.

The campaign will focus on elevating the story of the sector’s work so as to increase public understanding of what we do and appreciation of why it is so important.

FAQ Document

We have captured all of the fantastic input, questions and comments that were submitted via the chat box at the Campaign Townhall Meetings. We are now working to compile all of this into a Campaign FAQ document which we will circulate in the coming weeks.

Due to the nature of this campaign, you may receive this email from a number of the steering group organsiations. We apologise for the duplication but are very keen to make sure as many people’s voices and opinions are heard.

We look forward to continuing to build a successful campaign together over the coming months.
