Budget 2023 Key Measures

DFI have analysed how Budget 2023 will impact on people with disabilities, their families and disability organisations.
While there were some welcome moves, it is disappointing that there were no permanent measures to address recruitment and retention in voluntary disability organisations or the cost of disability, and that investment fell significantly below the level recommended in the Disability Capacity Review. There are also a number of areas that remain unclear. DFI’s focus now is on clarifying these areas and advocating on issues that were not addressed sufficiently in the Budget.
