DFI's Risk Appetite Statement

DFI's Risk Appetite Statement was approved by the Board of Directors in May 2026. It sets out how DFI approaches risk in pursuit of its mission. As a values-led organisation, DFI takes a considered and balanced approach. We embrace risk where it supports advocacy, partnership and disabled people's leadership, while maintaining careful and cautious practices in areas such as governance, financial management and data protection.

The statement is underpinned by the Strategic Plan 2026–2029 and reflects DFI's commitment to being ambitious in impact and responsible in operation.
