DFI's Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) Report Launch

This is a launch event for DFI's report on training local authority staff in the use of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) to fulfil their responsibilities under the Public Sector Duty. The event will highlight the key findings from the project where 14 local authorities received training in the use of the UN CRPD.

The project has allowed DFI to learn more about how local authorities see disability, and what issues around disabilities local authorities are most interested in. The opening address of the event will be provided by Anne Rabbitte TD (Minister of State Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration)
