The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) is launching its Access Rules Public Consultation. The BAI reviews the Access Rules every two years. The BAI must publicly consult on any proposed revisions to the Rules. The last review of the Rules was undertaken in 2012. The main change introduced in 2012 was the emphasis on quality and reliability in addition to thequantity of access provision.

The BAI is now proposing a number of changes to the current Rules.

You are invited to attend a public event to launch this consulation at the BAI’s offices, 2 - 5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2 at 3pm on Monday, 26th May next. As part of the consultation process, the BAI has arranged a briefing to provide interested parties with an overview of:

  • The process of review of the Rules to date
  • Key findings of the review to date
  • Outline of possible changes to the Rules

If you require any assistive services on the day, the BAi will endeavour to accommodate your request. Please contact BAI office at 01-6441200 or access@bai.ie to advise of your requirements.
