The Disability Federation of Ireland (DFI) is a federation of its member organisations. Its members comprise a broad cross section of organisations that represent and support people with disabilities and disabling conditions. Their engagement reaches from local through national to European and international levels. Their membership organisations continue to play a key role in this work, as do a growing number of disabled persons.

The main objective of DFI is to benefit the community by protecting the rights, and valuing the role, of persons with disabilities and disabling conditions in the community; encouraging their fullest participation in shaping a society that promotes the quality of life of such persons. In this way DFI represents the interests and the expectations of people with disabilities to be fully included in Irish society.  

About the Role

DFI are looking to hire an experienced and motivated Membership Development Manager who will play an important role in developing relationships with its membership and strengthening the profile of DFI in Ireland.

The Membership Development Manager will be responsible for the development, growth and delivery of the DFI’s organisational capacity building programme for its membership of over 120 disability organisations. The Membership Development Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of effective relationships with DFI member organisations, their colleagues, and a range of community and voluntary, educational, private, specialist and statutory agencies and bodies.
